Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data PipWhip collects when you join the waitlist at pipwhip.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We keep this deliberately short and honest — no buried clauses.

1What we collect

When you submit your email on the waitlist form, we collect:

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from (country-level), and how many people join the waitlist. GA4 runs with IP anonymization enabled and we have disabled advertising/reporting features that would otherwise feed Google's ad profiling. We do not use advertising pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no TikTok, no LinkedIn Insight), cross-site tracking, or browser fingerprinting.

2Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your email and IP address on the legal basis of consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR): you explicitly submit your email to be notified at launch. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see section 5).

The IP address is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing automated abuse of the signup form.

3Where the data lives

Your email is stored on PipWhip's own server, located in France (datacenter Paris, Online / Scaleway). It is not sent to any third-party SaaS, marketing platform, or cloud provider.

• Stored as a row in a file on our server (/data/waitlist.csv, not publicly accessible).
• Each new signup also triggers a notification email to newsletter@pipwhip.com (same server), so the PipWhip team sees new subscribers.

4How long we keep it

We keep your email until launch + 12 months, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. After that, it is automatically purged from the waitlist.

If you confirm your subscription at launch (double opt-in), a new retention period begins under the then-current privacy policy.

5Your rights

Under the GDPR (and UK GDPR / CCPA where applicable), you have the following rights regarding your data:

To exercise any right, just email newsletter@pipwhip.com — we reply within 30 days, no questions asked.

6No selling, no sharing

We never sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for marketing. We are not interested in that business. Your email is used for exactly one thing: telling you when PipWhip launches.

7Children

PipWhip is aimed at adult retail traders. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor submitted an email, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

8Changes to this policy

If we materially change what we collect, we will notify you by email before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
